Content: In 2019 The Arena on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island hosted the UFC 242 clash Khabib vs. Poirier (and a Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert). The fight was viewed by an estimated 112m people worldwide and took place in a custom built, temporary arena, covered with Power Plastics roof sheets. This was one of the world’s largest temporary structures built at the time, with a 13,000 seat capacity.
This was not the first time Power Plastics had been involved in the development of Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island, having previously contributed fabric sheeting for the construction of the Ferrari World Park, also located on the Island.
