Power Plastics has opened its second site on the Teesside Industrial Estate in Thornaby, with a 10-year lease secured for a brand-new 25,000 square foot factory. The site will enable the company to significantly expand its fabric welding production capacity and will see the company making significant investment in new tracker welders and other machinery to cater for demand.
The factory will initially be used to complete some large project work for the Waste & Water industry, before being fully furnished in early 2024 with the new machinery and configured for new production lines, including for the manufacture of military tents and insulation. With the opening of this second site on the Teesside industrial Estate, the existing 15,000 square foot facility on Willows Court will be reconfigured to support the company’s large Waste & Water industry projects and other metal engineering-based manufacture.
