Strengthening Communities, Supporting People
At Power Plastics, we are committed to conducting business responsibly and sustainably, creating long-term value for our employees, customers, communities, and stakeholders. Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) policy outlines the principles and practices that guide our decisions and ensure we operate with integrity and accountability.
Values
We are guided by a clear set of values that define who we are and how we operate:
Integrity – acting honestly, transparently, and ethically.
Commitment – delivering on our promises to customers, employees, and communities.
Innovative Thinking – embracing creativity and forward-looking solutions.
Quality – ensuring excellence in every aspect of our work.
Investing In people
Like any business, the key to our success is our people. We therefore strive to not only put our people first but also to give everyone a chance, so that we can build a diverse and happy workforce.
Two current key initiatives are our Prisoner Hiring and Rehabilitation Program and our support for veterans and their families:
- We are proud to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of both serving and ex-offenders back into society. We work closely with both HMP Kirk Levington and HMP Wetherby, hiring serving prisoners who either come to our factories or work for us from within the prison. This initiative has delivered incredible results and in 2025 we celebrated Five Years of Empowering Change Through Employment of Service Prisoners, with the hiring of our 70th offender.
- As part of our commitment to those who serve, we have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, recognising the contributions of veterans and those currently serving our country.
Charity & Social Responsibility
Power Plastics has a rich tradition of supporting both local and national charities that touch our everyday lives and in 2025 we formalised our charity giving with the launch of the David Price Foundation, named in honour of our founder.
Each year the David Price Foundation, will make two significant donations to charities selected by our employees, with the first beneficiaries being Cystic Fibrosis Care and Lucie’s Animal Rescue, based in our home town Thirsk.
The David Price Foundation also makes other donations during the year, to charities which for whatever reason have come to our attention, maybe they helped a customer with palliative care or a colleague’s relative during their hour of need.
Community Support
We are committed to contributing positively to the communities in which we operate.
Providing employment is the greatest contribution we can make to our communities; but we also actively promote volunteering, charitable contributions and local partnerships to strengthen the bonds with our communities.
In addition to local charities, we are involved with a number of local community clubs, teams and events.
Business Ethics
Our operations are guided by strict ethical standards, supported by a comprehensive suite of policies that cover areas such as:
- Anti-bullying and harassment
- Ethical sourcing and support chain responsibility
- Fair treatment of employees and partners
These policies ensure we maintain the highest levels of fairness, accountability and compliance across all business areas.
Some of our policies can be viewed on our Policies and Statements page, for a full set of policies please submit a request to info@powerplastics.co.uk.

Protecting the environment and reducing our ecological footprint is central to our ESG approach. As a company we are dedicated to:
- Minimising waste and maximising recycling
- Reducing energy consumption and carbon impact
- Complying with all environmental legislation and continuously improving our practices
