Our floating covers are intended to be used on process tanks and reservoirs and offer a low cost solution for water quality improvements by preventing algae growth which is achieved by blocking out natural light. Other benefits include a reduction in loss of water by evaporation, reduced chemical demands and reductions in pollutants from airborne particulates etc.

The cover is constructed from a number of interconnected modular non porous foam blocks enclosed with a tough drinking water approved material as required by WRAS (Water Regulation advisory Scheme) and DWI (Drinking Water Inspectorate). The cover is intended to lower and rise with the water level and can include gussets within the individual modules to accommodate sloping floors in lagoons/tanks.

Whilst resisting uplift forces a net can be installed over the covers in areas with extreme wind conditions.
