The sheeting for Big Ben was designed to withstand 160k/hr winds and similar sheeting successfully withstood the UK gales of 1989 where winds in excess of 160k/hr tore other lesser quality sheeting to shreds. For such exposed sites PowerPlas 541, which is a very heavy duty material, is normally specified.
